I kindly request the possibility for the customer placing an order to switch between Pickup / Delivery directly from the cart or checkout, as GloriaFood allows with online reservations. This way, the customer doesn’t have to start over and empty the cart to change the option.
I’m including here the GloriaFood reservation module of our restaurant so you can see the option to change the method directly from the cart and the other features that your platform should currently have but are not working properly:
https://www.restaurantlogin.com/api/fb/z07gm
Furthermore, as you can also see from the images I’ve attached, or by testing it directly through the reservation form link:
When a customer places an order, the promotion is applied automatically. This is something that, even if enabled in your platform’s promo code settings, does not work. (I noticed another user has already submitted this feedback in the suggestions.)
If the customer is close to reaching the promotion threshold (for example, they are €5 short of free delivery), they are notified. This encourages the customer to spend that little extra amount.

I think @CloudWaitress Admin @Cloud Waitress can implement these features. Some of them can be enabled in the settings… but they don’t work even when they’re active. Also, on GloriaFood there’s a feature called “Autopilot” which is very useful—it segments customers and sends an email when they abandon their cart, encourages a second order if they haven’t ordered in a while, and helps re-engage customers if they haven’t placed an order for at least 180 days.

I think the features you discussed are extremely important to make the ordering process easier for the customer, without having to start over from scratch and empty the cart

The auto apply feature does work, however there are settings that can impact this feature. Please contact support on your particular use case and they can guide you.

The data shows changing service type after building cart is a fringe use case. Low priority.

How do you want to handle scenarios where pricing is different based on service type or items are unavailable via other service type method?

@CloudWaitress Admin When it comes to a scenario as you’ve mentioned, I think this is when we have to implement a warning where if the item isn’t available for a specific service type or pricing is different, the item will be removed. Sure, it may be inconvenient to the customer, but the way GloriaFood handles it only makes sense since that platform doesn’t support different pricing item structure or service type availability to an extent.
And if we take it further, what if the promotion at checkout only applies to specific service type? Add that to the equation, and it’ll start to become a not so friendly user experience. I think careful planning and testing will be needed…
