Forcing the user to switch languages is, well, really 1995.
At a bare minumum, you need to be able to send a URL parameter to switch languages.
Ideally, you are detecting the browser language of the user - this is easy with modern JS frameworks…
Basically, you cannot have a multi-lingual menu. You would need to setup different locations for each one. Not practical. Basic LLM translations are quite easy to implement.
Yest it’s right and obvious
you can do it by yourself. they allow you add custom javascript and css. as you understanding add a minimal js script or use llm to analyise their html and js source code, then add your little script to change langauage setting.
Appreciate the input. While browser-side scripting may indeed “solve” the surface-level issue of localizing the interface elements themselves, the menu items would still remain in the source language.
Their system does not support a multilingual menu feature, so this is not a JavaScript issue. I also believe it could raise legal concerns: if restaurant owners are unable to translate the menu accurately, it may cause even greater problems.
